New 2014 Hyundai Sonata with 2014 Hyundai Sonata Release Date, Specification, Review, Features and Price. The Sonata midsize sedan has long been one of their most successful models, and if you needed any proof of Hyundai’s intent to continue to try and improve their line-up, it can be found in the news that the Sonata is about to get a redesign in the 2014 version.
This is despite the fact that the current Sonata model only saw the light of day in the US market a mere 3 years ago. Hyundai Chief Executive Kim Choon-ho revealed recently that the 2014 would have redesigned gas and hybrid versions in the upcoming release, as well as a few other little tweaks.
The mid-size segment gives no quarter, and since the 2013 Toyota Camry gets a makeover, several domestic and import competitors are following suit. That goes not only for the States, but in Hyundai’s backyard as well.
Yet while competition is tough in this class, it’s probably safe to expect less-than-radical changes to the 2014 Hyundai Sonata. The still-relevant design will presumably receive only minor updates, with likely more attention paid to refinement and value; two key areas that made Hyundai a true contender across several segments.
Speaking of which, customers can now pre-order the redesigned 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, set to be revealed in a matter of days at the 2012 New York Auto Show.
